large_woman(HARRISBURG) – An obese Perry County woman visiting the Pennsylvania Farm Show was surprised when cattlemen suddenly whisked her aside and branded her as prize-winning livestock.

“One minute I was walking with my family, the next minute some guy in a cowboy hat was tacking a blue ribbon onto my ass,” said Roberta Klingenfelter, of Duncannon.

Klingenfelter was named Grand Champion Heifer of the Farm Show, beating out scores of other cattle for the award.

“I’m honored – I guess – to receive this award,” Klingenfelter said.

Klingenfelter is now the property of Hoss’s Steak and Sea House, which purchased the prize-winning heifer for $10,000. A spokesman for Hoss’s says her family will be allowed to visit her occasionally until she is slaughtered.
